In May our worldwide Running Challenge took place, we ran 15,903 km which corresponds to a donation of 4,771 Euro. Altogether, we spent 5,000 euros to the aid organization Cargo Human Care , who organize bandages and drugs shipments for a hospital in Lviv for the treatment of war invalids.
As a company, we too have been emotionally and economically shaken by the Russian attack on Ukrai-ne. The need to help the people affected by the war in and from Ukraine was very great from the beginning.
So this year we have shown our solidarity in various ways.
We still wish all those suffering from the events a lot of strength and all the best!
As part of a worldwide effort, our employees donated pillowcases with names for Ukrainian children who have been housed in the Łódź region in Poland. Wirthwein contributed the fillings. So far, a total of 84 pillows have been given to Ukrainian children.
Wirthwein Friedberg donated 490 euros to Elementary and Middle School Stätzling-Derching to purchase flashcards, language memos and multilingual workbooks for Ukrainian refugee children. Plant manager Ferdi Ercan (right) presented the symbolic donation check.
For the integration and language support of Ukrainian children the kindergarten Derching purchased various games and books. Wirthwein Friedberg donated 400 euros.
